Hy!

First of all let me introduce myself: I?m Goran and I come from Cabar. Some of you met me in Rijeka when Nitro and I were presenting out program in school competition. ? I would like to help you in developing of the game. I?m sorry for joining this late?
I would appreciate if someone could summarize the work you have done so far and what needs to be done.

I can say few things to you...
There are no programing places left.... :( but, you can work with me on a game story, menu dezign, vehicle parts, awards, competitions, some other ideas..and so on !

Edi and Nitro are the main guys in the game team, so lets hear what they have to say about this !

I just cant wait when the game phisics is complete, so we can start working on the game...Only than I can maybe help more...until then I am nothing :)

Muz, what internet and program lang. you know to write? And also, can you help us with graphics?

Nitro, what about menus? are we going to use Irena2D and who will do the graphics for the menus?

Well, I mostly work in VB. Why do you need internet language? I can try to help you with graphic but I'm not promising much. :) What needs to be done?

I'll make the menu graphics.
And Dino & Muz can code the menu. :)
What do you think about that?

BTW, to what format should I save the menu images so that they are compilant with the Irena2D engine? Wich format saves transparency (alpha chanell) besides gif?

Pa mozes bilo koji format, ali preporucujem BMP ili JPG... a boju koja zelis da bude transparenta samo upises u Ireni...kapish

EDIT : I got carried away...forgot that this shuld be written on english !
You can use any format, but I prefer .bmp or .jpg ...in Irena you just set the color you want to be transparent from the picture...!

Please, just don't use gifs, to damn slow for DX8 :)
Use BMP, maximum quality, fastest for the DX8 (not compressed in memory), low size when zipped.
For transparency you can use any color, as long as you know its RGB, HEX or Long value. It's best to use pink (less usable color), in Irena2D example file you can find one pic that uses pink and use it for your image files.
IMPORTANT: Do not make smooth ends of transparent color, it won't look smooth in runtime :(, this method I used is very fast for Irena2D.

DO YOU WANT ME TO: make dll for the engine or you'll use a module as it used now? Either way, I'm going to make dll, but if you want it now I can make it in 1 day + introduction(1/2 day), just say!!! ? (please, I want to do it but I can?t due to much pressure caused by my PC making NSL, and his timeline-not deadline. You see, if you tell me to do it, it?s much easier for me to put NSL on hold for day or two until I finish the dll)

If you need any questions about menus, for further discussions on it just create new Topic or discuss it there. (we need to control all discussions - ideas, progress etc..)
The two of you just need to consult each other about the work, who will do what.

I will need textures to start working on that...
I can do it to look like in Kvizic Kruzic 2...
We have to talk more about background in menu...

Muz what do you want to do ?
I can easily do the menu (mouse move, some effects when mouse moves over buttons and so on...)

Edi, take a day or two off NSL and finish the work you have with Irena2D and/or Gink... :) Convert Irena2D engine into that dll... :)


Menus:

Dino, Muz, start a topic about menus... we can discuss all the work there.
You guys should tell me what graphics you need for the menu.

BTW, will the menu be 800X600 or 1024X768 ???

And, what about my idea of the game menu backgrounds?
Will we keep this look or what?

Engine streches the images by default so it's best to use 800x600 (in 1024 blur will make that pic nices, in 640x pic will look the same as 800x)
