Hi Nod,

Thanks for your kind comments! :)

The animation only took about an hour to render. The clean-up took a little longer since I went frame-by-frame and took out some artifacts from the render process.

Hi all!

I've been learning Reactor in Max6. These animations aren't for the game, but show what I can do with Max6 that I couldn't do before with Max3. It just keeps getting better! :D

Here's an updated video of 2 cars crashing with sound and Matt's music. Again, this is just for demostration purposes. If you come up with an idea for a cutscene, let me know so I can start working on it! :D

Nitro!

Hey, thanks man! Good to see you again. Please do give me your ideas. I can't wait to work on more animations.

I just happened upon the Max Biped plugin this afternoon. This short video demostrates how relatively easily we can add character animation. The "character" is actually the biped skeleton itself. I only altered the geometry to make it look more like a person. I still haven't figured out how to put the "skin" on. I'll learn that within a few days, though :D

Hi Dino!

Thanks a lot man! I hope to learn as much as possible while working on this project. So far, the learning curve has been easier to navigate since I've been challenged by you guys. :D

Anyway, I learned how to skin the biped and fix the muscles/tendons and such. This example shows how easy it is to take a solid mesh and fix it to the biped. :D

Here's another biped walk with a little more detailed animation of the head. This part is easy, but I didn't spend much time on it. The models used are free downloads, so thanks to the guys who made them! I can't wait for Edi to fix his computer and we get on with the game!!

Well, this certainly has little to do with the game, but I'm still learning FOR the game and this was just too funny not to upload it. I made this video after dinner tonight with an old BIP file from Max3. :D

Using my video camera, I made a BIP (motion capture) file of me eating dinner. Here it is applied to a model. I really think we can easily add whatever cutscenes we want now. :D

I've seen your last 4 animations and they are great. If I knew how to do stuff like that I wild start working on 3D cartoons...

I can't wait your next animation !

Hi Dino!

Thank you. :)

Character Studio in Max is much easier to use than I thought it would be. There are also tons of free motion files already available on the internet. Now I'm learning how to tweak and combine moves to make almost any movements I want. I'm convinced we can do almost any cutscenes for the game that we want.

Later!

David
