What to put behind and on the Start line? Name the objects! (I have to know, for the map editor)
- Cars? - People? - Parking lot? (on the side, behind the stadium, if there is one) - ...???

Hm, we need a bigger list of objects... like boxes, tents, some spare tires... I don't know...

Ok then, let's start listing them because I need to put them on the assignment list (with basic specs.)
- Wooden box - Tires (we'll use tires from cars).. - Few motorbikes (parked) ? - Ice-cream van ? - Toolbox - Chair - Few different people models (we could make them using Poser), with different skins ...

I meant that start gate with SR402 banners and starting light.
Hi David, Good job, finnaly I have something to do allways had.
Cute box, coming with the next version. With the ini file, we're (going to be) able to change all the specs of any object in the game.
But that tire, heh, looks like the stop sign (we only miss the tex ), I'll try them as soon as I find out width and height of the car (btw, how to do that in 3D space?, can 3dmax give you measurements?)

Hi,
I used the texture's dimensions to make the tire. The "tire" in the texture has 8 sides, so I made the mesh to match. I can of course make the tire rounder if you want.

Hi again,
Here's a re-do of the tire. It now has 18 sides (72 polygons). This version requires 2 textures, but if you decide to use it, I can combine the two textures into one texure.
Here's a VERY simple toolbox. 396 polys and two textures. With photo textures of a real toolbox, I can make this better looking and lower the polygon count.

Nice, let me test it first, if it fits then we'll decide about combining those textures. (I'll upload it with the next version tomorrow)

It looks like 30 polys must be those wheels. Maybe a little dirt missing .
Where to put all those models? I need one big plane/mesh, same height as the road, as a part of starting line and drive in road.. And maybe some fence around the plane...
I'll work on the roadside area tonight using the fence panels I made last month.

Here's a simple roadside area. The height of the plane is the same as the roadway. I'm not sure if it's what you're looking for so let me know how to change it.
A chain link fence. This may not be usable since one section is over 2000 polygons. I made a sprite version that didn't look very good. If you want a fence like this, but not so high in polys, then I can try to refine the sprite to where it looks better.
Looks good... I see you are starting to learn Croatian.
Edi has gone out tonight (finally), I hope he hooks up with some girl, gets married and leaves this house so I can sleep at night without hearing the sounds of keyboard...

Hey David! RESPECT!!!
BTW, David, do you know anybody who can do car models? Meshman is buisy with school... so that means a couple of months before he'll start working properly...

Hi Nitro!
I have asked two of my modeler buddies if they can help out. The problem is that they are all really busy with school or work. I will keep looking though! I put a requst for modelers and texture designers on the Max-Realms Forum, also.

This is my first attempt at a vehicle. Maybe we can use this as a static model on the sideroad areas. 2644 polygons...I'm not great at textures, but with the right ones this will look MUCH better and lower the polygon count.
BTW, did I mail you the link for car modeling tutorials?
I would like you to model our cars, because it looks to me that you're dedicated to this project!

I think you mailed it before, but I can't find them. To be honest, I'm not very good at cars (yet). I have a lot to learn to make good cars...especially the texturing. I will try though since we need cars!

Here's a simple picnic table (concrete). 246 Polygons/1 texture
Here's a simple rail-type barrier. 660 Polygons/1 texture. I'm trying to copy the objects that nitro has in the photos at track.htm, but make them as low-poly as possible.
